This is the video for my new song Mornings (demo). I have to be honest. I’m not really performing in this video. Well, I am. But I’m performing to the finished track. I didn’t actually have the cameras rolling during the recording of the song.
Anyway, the gear I used in the song is my Teenage Engineering OP-1. This gave me the opening chord progression. That accidentally triggered a sequence on my Modal Skulpt and I thought it sounded like a clock ticking so it made me think of the lyrics as well. I also used my Korg Volca FM which was modified with the unofficial Pajen firmware for the keyboard part. As well as my Squier Jaguar tuned to dropped D tuning. The bass is an 808 sample that I made in Logic Pro X. I go over how I processed my vocals in my previous video, so if you’re curious about that, check that bad boy out.
